Benito Casu Young Researcher Award, Edition 2025
During the XIX Convegno-Scuola Chimica dei Carboidrati (XIX CSCC 2025, 22-25 giugno 2025, Certosa di Pontignano, Siena) the ‘Benito Casu’ Young Researcher Prize will be awarded
The Gruppo Interdivisionale di Chimica dei Carboidrati of the Società Chimica Italiana, on the initiative of the ‘G. Ronzoni’ Institute for Chemical and Biochemical Research in Milan, announces a competition for the award of a recognition prize in memory of Prof. Benito Casu. The prize consists of a certificate to be awarded to a young researcher who has shown particular aptitude and interest in studies and research activities in the field of Carbohydrate Chemistry.
Participation is open to graduates of Italian Universities not older than 35 years on the date of the deadline for submitting applications and regularly registered with the Società Chimica Italiana and the Gruppo Interdivisionale di Chimica dei Carboidrati on the date of the deadline for submitting applications.
The competition is based on titles. Publications related to research activities carried out in the fields of Carbohydrate Chemistry will be considered, with preference for studies of an applicative nature in the field of biopolymers.
The evaluation commission will be composed of 2 representatives from the Institute of Chemical and Biochemical Research ‘G. Ronzoni’ and the Coordinator of the Gruppo Interdivisionale della Chimica dei Carboidrati or a person identified by him/her.
